Gauge has no account and no server of ours. Your records live in a real database on the phone, travel in a backup file you keep, and can sit behind Face ID.

No analytics, no advertising identifiers, no third-party tracking.
The one download is public trial and paper listings, sent the compound's name and nothing about you, and you can switch it off.
Apple Health is read only, only if you switch it on, and Gauge writes nothing to it.

Why does Gauge never suggest how much to log?
Because that is a medical decision. Gauge records what you and your licensed provider decided and does the arithmetic around it. There are no suggested amounts, ranges, or schedules anywhere in the app, on purpose. The Learn pages do report what a label or a published trial used, with the source, because that is a fact about the study or the label, not a suggestion for you.
Where does my data go?
Nowhere. It stays in a database on this phone. There is no account and no server. A backup or an export leaves the phone only when you share it.
What is Gauge Plus, and what stays free?
One active protocol or stack with every logging feature on it is free forever, with no account and no trial: the calculator, the vial in use with its run-out date, reminders, history, metrics, side effects, lab results, photos, export as a spreadsheet or a PDF, backup, and the whole library. Gauge Plus adds estimated levels drawn from your own entries, your record in charts, titration phases and cycles, spare vials with the run-out warning, a Home and Lock Screen widget, weight and body fat read from Apple Health, a one-page summary for your provider in front of the PDF, and unlimited protocols and stacks, as a monthly or yearly plan or a lifetime unlock paid once; the app shows the price in your currency. If Plus ends, nothing you saved is removed or hidden: one protocol stays active and you choose which, the others move to archived and stay exportable, and spares and phases already entered keep working. On every plan, Gauge never suggests an amount; that stays between you and a licensed provider.
What can I hand to my provider?
A PDF of your dose log and metrics for any range, from the History header. It is grouped by day, shows draws and notes, and carries the disclaimer.
Where do the Learn sources come from?
PubMed and ClinicalTrials.gov, checked when the entry was written. Regulatory notes carry the month they were checked. Nothing in Gauge links to a seller.
How do I move to a new phone?
Settings, Export backup, and save the file to Files or iCloud Drive. On the new phone install Gauge, open Settings, and choose Restore from backup. Your current data is kept as a safety copy either way.
